In June 2021, the RISE Brewing Company (a coffee company) that produces canned coffee and tea beverages under the label 'Rise' sued PepsiCo for trademark infringement. The flavor's name was changed from Strawberry Melon Spark to Strawberry Melon Sharp in late 2022. The flavors here are as follows: Pomegranate Blue Burst, Strawberry Melon Spark, Berry Blitz, Tropical Sunrise, Peach Mango Dawn, and Orange Breeze. The Mountain Dew Energy line was officially released to stores in the United States in March 2021 as a permanent lineup and is available in 16-ounce cans with the Conquer the Morning promotion. All of these leaks are as follows: Major Melon, alongside its Zero Sugar variant, Rise Energy, Baja Blast alongside two flavors, Baja Flash and Baja Punch, DEW-S-A, Riddler's Brew, Gingerbread Snap'd, and a re-release of Pepsi Blue.
On August 4th, 2020, on the Dew Drinker Discord, information was leaked by an anonymous individual showing upcoming plans for 2021 with many flavors and new brands alike. It is a low-sugar energy drink having 180 Milligrams of Caffeine which equals approximately 2 Cups of Coffee, 5% Juice, Zero (0 G) added Sugar, Zinc, and Vitamins A&C Antioxidants. It has a similar color and flavor to Supernova, which also contains the same Strawberry Melon flavor.
As its name implies, Strawberry Melon Sharp is a Strawberry Melon flavor of Mountain Dew.
